SUMMARY:Nacogdoches Drive
DESCRIPTION:Our May event is a three-day event\, making a drive to Nacogdoches\, TX on Friday\, May 20th\, and then spending Saturday exploring the town and the area around Nacogdoches and returning on Sunday. \nWe will meet at the Starbucks at the I-30 Alcoa Road exit on Friday at 8:30am with a departure time of 9:00am. We will be making a lunch stop at Joe’s Crab Shack in Shreveport\, LA and have reservations there at 12:30pm. \nWe will be staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Nacogdoches. The motel has recently been renovated. We have a block of ten rooms currently reserved at a cost of $ 139 per night plus tax\, with a free continental breakfast and WiFi. The rooms are being held until April 20th\, and the number to call for reservations is (936) 560-9901. There is a 7-day cancellation period. \nNacogdoches was the first official town in Texas\, earning the nickname “The Oldest Town in Texas”\, and is the largest producer of blueberries in Texas. Nacogdoches is characterized by it’s beautiful brick streets in the Downtown district. There’s plenty to do here on your downtime\, with two lakes (Nacogdoches and Naconiche) and countless trails. If the Outdoors isn’t your thing\, just head over to the Nacogdoches Main Street or Convention & Visitors Bureau Facebook page to see what’s going on this weekend. From the Wine Swirl event to The Texas Blueberry Festival\, there is something always happening. \nThe first clash between Mexican and Texans occurred on August 2\, 1832 with the Battle of Nacogdoches. DESCRIPTION:Our August event will be on Saturday\, August 20th\, and will be our annual Shortest Drive …. \nWe will have an early dinner in North Little Rock’s River Argenta District\, at Skinny J’s (314 N. Main Street)\, and then cross No. Main Street Bridge to The Joint\, where we’ll see the original show “Little Rock & A Hard Place”. For those that have attended previously with us\, everyone will attest to the great evenings we’ve had at The Joint. \nThe show is at 8:00pm\, and we’ll plan on beginning there at 7:15—7:30pm. \nTickets are $ 30 a person\, and must be reserved by calling the Box Office at (501) 372-0205.  Tell them you are with Arkansas Miata Club\, and Vicki Farrell will make sure you are seated with the group.   You can then pick up your own ticket at the box office before the show. \nThe website for The Joint is www.TheJointArgenta.com …..
