DESCRIPTION:Our May event is a three-day event\, making a drive to Nacogdoches\, TX on Friday\, May 20th\, and then spending Saturday exploring the town and the area around Nacogdoches and returning on Sunday. \nWe will meet at the Starbucks at the I-30 Alcoa Road exit on Friday at 8:30am with a departure time of 9:00am. We will be making a lunch stop at Joe’s Crab Shack in Shreveport\, LA and have reservations there at 12:30pm. \nWe will be staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Nacogdoches. The motel has recently been renovated. We have a block of ten rooms currently reserved at a cost of $ 139 per night plus tax\, with a free continental breakfast and WiFi. DESCRIPTION:IT’S 2021 AND WE HAVE A NEW MEMBER LEADING A TSD ROAD RALLYE ! \nA TSD Rallye is very different from our usual concept of motor sports. Each competing team\, consisting of a driver and a navigator\, is given a set of written instructions which are used to follow a pre-determined course. Each team drives the course independently\, usually at one minute intervals\, following the written instructions\, or route instructions\, exactly. as well as maintain a given average speed\, which will always be legal. You will earn a score based on how close you come to arriving perfectly “on time”. \n  \nThe “Seat of the Pants” Road Rallye will be held on  Saturday\, October 23\, 2021. \nThe start and finish points of the Rallye will be at Lake Willistein Park in Maumelle. Please be at the starting point at 9:30am\, and the driver/navigator meeting will be at 9:45am. \nThe Rallye should last between 2 and 2.5 hours. \nBring a pencil and paper and see the note below …. \n  \n  \nThere are two apps at the Google Playstore\, although teams may want to use other apps. The application for calculating TSD is SPEED\, DISTANCE\, TIME CALCULATOR by Danny Connell. For leg timing\, use the TIMER PLUS FREE with STOPWATCH by Digitalchemy LLC. \n

SUMMARY:Arkansas "Tail of the Dragon" Run
DESCRIPTION:The next Arkansas Miata Club drive will be Saturday\, March 20th.  It will be an all day drive\, called the Arkansas Dragon Run.  It will feature a trip to the top of Petit Jean Mountain and Mount Nebo in the morning\, followed by a rousing trip up the Arkansas Dragon’s southern end in the afternoon.  Lunch will be at Fat Daddy’s BBQ in London\, and we need a head count so please RSVP by the Thursday before the event to me at miata2003@yahoo.com or call and leave a message at 50one-41six-778seven.  We will end the drive in Russellville.  Starting location is the Shell station at Hwy 10 and Chenal Blvd.  Drivers meeting at 8:30.  Hope to see you all there!
